1847 UN DEC. G.BRITAIN GOTHIC TYPE CROWN

Queen Victoria's Gothic Crown, produced in 1847 and adorned with the regnal year 'unidecimo' around the edge, is a reminder of the Medieval Revival or Victorian Gothic movement of the 1840s.

This highly collectible coin features a crowned portrait of Queen Victoria on the obverse, a highly-detailed design of four crowned shields, and a bloom of national flower emblems encircled by a blackletter-style legend on the reverse.

The obverse was designed by William Wyon, Chief Engraver to the Royal Mint at the time, while a Scottish artist created the reverse, William Dyce.

A stunningly unique piece of coinage, this Wyon Gothic Masterpiece will surely take pride of place in any collection | Graded PR45 by NGC.

Certificate number # 6383155-002.
